This land becomes stranger and stranger. Has anyone else come upon these new statues? Or have you an idea, perhaps, of their purpose?

[Mezzaline walks the path to Ardel, pulling a few garlands from their hosts. None of these plants grew in Erremal; there is so much diversity here!]

The flowers, at least, are beautiful!

They now line the road to Ardel Farmstead when previously, there were none.

Are you sure they're statues? Did the locals put them there?

[They aren't, you know, cleverly disguised monsters?]

... I believe so?

[Mezzaline reaches out and presses a finger against the face of a statue. It feels like stone.]

I know not how else they may have been placed here. I witnessed a child placing flowers upon one, so they are likely harmless.

Perhaps it's for some sort of festival.

[Or else a danger that the villagers are yet to recognize.]

That is what I assume, though I have heard nothing of possible festivals. No announcements from our hosts, no signs posted that explain the new features.

But I do hope it is a festival...
