So. I've been here exactly one week now. and all i can say is that it's been FREAKISHLY amazing. i don't want to go back, honestly |D... fortunately, i don't have to be too sad about flying back next week, because i'll be back in tokyo in autumn for ONE WHOLE SEMESTER, F*CK YESH! x3
anyways, here's what happened today :3
i met up with a study buddy from cologne and we spent the day together :3 ... he took me sight seeing and our destination today was Asakusa, a pretty and touristy part of tokyo.
first thing we did was getting something to eat x3... hmmm~ delicious.
here we got a nice view of the new Sky Tree, which is freakishly big and very expensive, if you wanna go up there. also: golden sperm.
pretty bridge :D
then we went on to our actual destination: the sensô temple. very pretty, very crowded... LOTS of tourists and so many neat things to buy.
this lane leading to the temple was packed with little shops selling souvenirs. once again, i was kind of overwhelmed xDD. there was this cute store that sold bags... i love bags... and they were so cute... and i was like adalsdadjpöjö too expensive. so i didn't buy it.
close-up of the pretteh.
buddha's shoe. supposedly. that man must've had big feet.
there were pretty women in pretty kimonos wandering around, GAW!!! quite a few actually, but i only managed to snap one quick picture ;w; ...
these little shrines were perfectly doll-sized. so cute. SO CUTE. unf.
chocolate bananas... they're pink... AND BLUE... wtfh.
i craved and got some flavoured crushed ice. because it's just so stereotypical, i HAD to have one. yummy, too.
there were so many shiisas x3~~~!! of course, i took a picture of them all, because i love shiisas. have the cutest one here x3.
after our visit to the temple, we decided to try out the tokyo cruise *w*~. it was pretty cool, very relaxing and entertaining. we had actually planned to go to odaiba, but we somehow managed to end up in asakusa again. must've missed a stop or something. anyways! it was neat.
this is the famous rainbow bridge. not so raindbow by day, tho. and it was a cloudy kind of day, too. i want to see it by night when it lights up ;w;~.
after the cruise and since we were back at our starting point, we went to the sensô temple again, to grab some food *w*. and since it was getting late, there were less and less people there and the lanterns were lit x'3~~~! pretty~!
foooooooood *w*! i LOVE takoyaki! yum!
and really, i just couldn't resist and it was kind of fate that we ended up at the temple again, so i bought the freaking bag i had wanted earlier. IT'S JUST SO CUTE. 3000yen tho. ;____; BUT SO CUTE!
alright! that's it for today~ x3. one more week of exploring to go x3!!
