Tokyo Diary part 1

Okay :D let the pic spamming commence!

So first things first. This is not very interesting, BUT it's the beginning of my journey, so it's pretty much just here for the record.

yea, so i was sitting infront of the gate planning my first couple of days and secretly watching weird people.

i love flying. like seriously, i LOVE flying, i love airports and airplanes and all that stuff. so have a nice sunset from above the clouds x3.

short stop in Dubai with more planning and yummy foods. hot white chocolate *w*. ... also: my foot. lol.

i couldn't sleep at all on the nine hour plane flight to tokyo, so after i landed, i felt like one of the guys from walking dead. it's a miracle that i made it to the hostel and i still don't know how i did it lol. i must have asked at least ten different people for directions. "Is this the way to the trains?" "is this the right platform?" "does this train go to nippori?" "is this where i have to get off the train?" etcetc. all in japanese of course xD. but the people here are very, very nice :3. when i was standing outside of the subway station, looking all confused with the map in my hand, a japanese guy came up to me and offered help x3. thanks to him i finally found my way to aizuya inn.
my teensietiny room. with appropriately pink blankets xD. it's right on top of the lobby so it gets kind of noisy, but i'm not here to sleep anyways x3.

le other side of the room. yes, i do have a tv. might me searching for some anime later xD.

the view from out of my window. it's not the nicest neighbourhood and there are obnoxious people on the street, but i'm not gonna complain. the staff of aizuya inn is very nice and the place is made of 'kawaii'. really. i need to take pictures of all the cutesy stuff here xD.

i went straight to bed yesterday, because i felt all wobbly xD. when i woke up today around 1pm, i took another look at my room and found this (might come in handy, tho i sure hope it won't have to xD) :

that's my hostel :D! might not look like much from the outside, but i really like it :3! my room is the one on the left on the second floor, btw °-°.

that is... a bus station. AND IT'S MADE OF CUTE!

so my first destination today was akihabara, the electric city. this is the part of tokyo, where all the geeks and nerds cluster and where tiny, cute girls in frilly outfits invite you into their maid cafes. they didn't invite me, tho ;-; ... i'm probably not manly enough /sob. so i wanted to go and find mandarake, the infamous mandarake, and after i got horribly lost, i asked a group of nerds if they could tell me where to go. and they couldn't speak any english and for some reason didn't bother to try explaining in japanese (even tho i had asked them in japanese), they simply walked me to the store lol. it was a ten minute walk |D. and it was really awkward when we got there and a sign said 'closed' TwT... have to go back there tomorrow. ( i NEED to find one of those alpacassos. he will be my tokyo-buddy. ;w; )

after that, i went to visit my first temple x3. i even found it all on my own, yay x3. it's called Yushima Shrine and it's one of the few buddhist shrines built after chinese example. |D so my first shrine in tokyo is chinese inspired lol. well, there's gonna be lots of japanese ones to come, i hope. and it was pretty nonetheless :3. note: vending machines. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. so far i haven't found any unusual ones, tho.

say hai to mister miyagi :D ... j/k. confuzius is not amused.

idk what this is or what it says, but it looked so cool i had to take a picture xD.

le gate. pretteh.

le inside of the gate. pretty as well :D ... i sat down on a random rock and took a break here. i hope i haven't offended any spirits by sitting on their grave or something lol.

more prettehs x3!

i THINK this is a cherry blossom (idk tho... could be a pineapple blossom for all i know... looks pretty cherry-ish to me tho)... so even tho i'm too early for the hanami, i can still see a few of them :3!

my first food in tokyo *w*. tanuki soba and it was delicious *w*!

and i got it in the restaurant on the right. cheap noodles, heck yeah x3!

i got TOTALLY lost on my way back to the hostel, tho. i thought it was a great idea to get off a stop early and explore the area... HAH. i'm never gonna do that again xD. although i got a nice view of some backstreets... however, when i finally made it back into my quater, i had to take a picture of the sign with the name of the area on it... harharhar. it's like the perfect place for me, guys.

and last but not least: the evil grape jelly-juice from hell. seriously, this stuff is so disgusting |D. before i got back to the inn, i wanted to try one of the crazier options from the vending machines. this is what i got. and next time, imma stick to coke. lol.

OKAY ... so much for my first two days x3. it's been great fun so far and i can't wait for tomorrow x3. i'm slowly getting used to finding my way around, so hopefully i won't get lost again :D!
see you in part 2 x3.
