So yeah, I graduated from Central last month and I've been living at home for a while now. Its not too bad, I'm just sort of expected to keep the place clean and do my fair share of the every day house-stuff.
The job hunt has recently taken a turn for the promising. I met with the Chief Information Officer of Priority Health Insurance (where my mom works) just to sort of pick his brain about working in IT and get some pointers. Well, it turned out better than I'd expected because he liked what he heard about me and passed my resume along to the Senior Manager of IT Development. I met with the manager, Joel, last week and immediately we knew we were cut from the same cloth. He's a huge geek and he's only 34 so we got along great and he said he was going to recommend me for an entry level position. I just need to interview with one more person and I'm already going into that it with the thumbs up from 2 senior managers (my mom is one too) and the CIO of the company. Not a bad pedigree.
Also, a couple of local companies have expressed interest in me. I've got interviews lined up with Micro Systems and Innerspace soon, all for jobs that I'm totally qualified for. With any luck I'll get an offer from at least one of these places and then I can get around to moving out. The plan is thus: get job, get apartment, furnish apartment, buy new car, buy new computer, figure out life.
I expect that last one to be the most problematic.
Wish me luck,
Adam/Vedo
