Well, now that I have told you all about my time in the Sunshine State, let me give you a brief, (or extremely long), description about my time at good 'ole Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. On my first day, I'll tell you the truth- I was terrified. It was my first summer at Blue Lake- and I was not sure what it was like. I walked in my cabin- (which was burning up, may I add,) and got signed in. Next- I walked myself down to Primrose, where the viola auditions were held. After hours of waiting, I got my chance to audition. I didn't do too bad, if I do say so myself; I mean, I got third chair. But then I guess my second audition really sucked since I got moved down to like, 6th. Pft....I'll know better next time. Anyways- from then on camp was pretty fun. But only if you don't count the meals or the water, which for the most part were very gross. I met alot of new people- like the girls in my cabin: Collette, Madeline, Jennine, Chelsea, Alexys, Jenny, Angela, Lauren, Rhianna, Jhordan and Dana. Great times. Now let me tell you about the Pookies. There were these three guys. They all looked almost exactly alike. Pookie #1 wore this puca (sp?) shell necklace, hence the name 'The Pookies'. We never met any of them, or knew any of their names, but it's all good, right? Right. Moving on. Now I will tell you about the Concert Orchestra's conductor. Wow. He was one moody guy. A good conductor, but oh my did he get mad. The funny thing was that he was the founder of Blue Lake. Strange, don't you think? Hm....what else went on at Blue Lake...oh yes. The dance. People there move fast to get dates- jeez. I didn't have a date- but hey, what's new. There was this guy who I thought was cute, (you know who you are, but I am not writing any names), and wow....my friends went to all ends to get him to talk to me, very embarrassing, but I can't be mad at them. I know I wouldn't have ever been able to talk to him if they hadn't done that, so I can't be upset about it. Anyways....our orchestra. I thought we turned out to be really good at the performance. I think it was the best time we played it. At least Mr.Stansell looked happy. All in all, Blue Lake was really awesome. I think I'll go back next year. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the viola section. You guys- we rock, haha. America and the Fruit Loop leaves, haha, Alex- my second stand partner, Emily- the watch girl, Melanie- Wow. Just Melanie, lol. And everyone else who I can't remember at the moment, lol. Well, I suppose you didn't make it all the way down here, but if you did, congrats! I am happy for you. I'll write later about anything else that is on my mind- if you care to read it.
A Pic By Aimee; I know you love it, Haha:
