Interesting Night

I'm here in Americus, Georgia where I'm playing a gig with the Albany Symphony ($246 for 2 rehersals and 2 concerts, with 50$ included for travel. Good Stuff.) We played at the Rylander Theater in "downtown" and Mr. Ex-president Jimmy Carter showed up. This is no joke.

What's ever better, is during intermission, I went to get water, and as I'm going back on stage, he comes over to me and starts talking to me. ME! I guess he saw me in the tux and wanted to congratulate me for a job well done. He tells me, "Oh great show, what a wonderful job you're doing", something to that degree. I just tell him "Oh thank you Mr. President. I appreciate it." I couldn't really say much more to him since other wanted to speak to him as well. He even had Secret Service guys with him.

So in my 20 years, I've met a hall-of-fame quarterback (Dan Marino), a multi-million dollar wrestler and movie star (The Rock), the principal horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Dale Clevenger), a member of the 1972 Perfect Dolphins (I THINK it was Nick Buoniconti or Mercury Morris, I don't remember, I was seven), and now an Ex-President (Jimmy Carter).

Interesting Night.
