MTAC!
On Easter Weekend, we went to MTAC in Nashville. ^_^
Me and my Mom got there on Thursday because we knew the parking would be bad and we thought there might be some early activities going on.
We ate lunch with Pappaw at Fazolis and he dropped us off at the hotel. ^_^
I was a bit nervous about the convention, because we really loved the old hotel it was at, and this year it was at a different one.
The new hotel was really nice and the food was pretty good. :D We also had a great view from our room looking over the city.
My Sister got there later that night.
I cosplayed as Chell all weekend. ^_^
Friday afternoon, after we ate, I found another girl dressed as Chell, so we and her friends talked for a bit. A Space Core cosplayer came along and she was super adorable, so we all hung out for a while. ^_^
Wandered around for a while and went back to the room with Mom.
My Sister and her not-boyfriend came in and started playing Magic, so I went back out wandering.
On my explorations, I found a Wheatley cosplayer that was a lot of fun, so we just hung out and wandered the rest of the night. We went to a couple of panels. Several people took our pictures and somebody even recorded us goofing off for their school project. XD
Saturday was okay, mostly just wandered again. At one point I talked to a girl who had bought a Companion Cube plushie at the convention and when somebody wanted to take my picture, she let me borrow it. <3
While I was wandering, the guy from GMX who bid against me for the Portal 2 poster walked up and started talking about the poster and asking if I had it framed and if he had the poster he'd display it in his house. XD
I ended up going to the rave, even though the line was horrible. XD Some people I had talked to at the dealer's room were there and we talked a bit and then they pulled me in line. XD
We ended up splitting up at the rave, though at one point one of them gave me a pink glowstick bracelet. :D
I found two new friends at the rave, the bouncy conga went past, and this one girl walked up to me and said she had lost her friend, so we started looking for her. The friend found us, so we all danced and goofed off until they had to go.
My Wheatley friend was at the rave, so we hung out for a bit and left at the same time and talked for a short while.
On Sunday, when I went out and down the escalator, I found Wheatley and one of his friends again. ^_^ While I was talking to them, another convention friend showed up and we talked.
Wheatley's friend was dressed as Tifa and we wandered the Dealer's Room for a bit, until they had to go.
We traded information and they friended me on Facebook within 6 hours. :D
Mom was in the Dealer's Room, so we finished up and headed to the front.
Dad came and picked us up and we all went to drop my Sister off at college.
We ate on campus, it's been a long time since I had! :D
Overall, the convention was okay. I didn't end up going to a lot of panels. I did get to talk to some old friends and I made some new ones, so that was a lot of fun. ^_^
