ok, i know i shouldn't have... but i did.

i read through comments on a news website concerning prop 8, and the protests that went down yesterday that turned ugly.

ok, i do admit that ripping off a  sign from a person's car because it doesn't say what you want it to say is wrong... probably shouldn't have done that.

but the fact of the matter is that this whole ISSUE is wrong.

to kick this rant off, prop 8 shouldn't even have gone down the way it did in the election.

had the government waited and just flat out asked "do you want gays to have the right to marry?" yes or no would have been the straight out answers.

but instead, it was put to a vote in the senate [[or wherever it was... i forget]] and it passed. and then because some people can't understand the concept of SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE they threw a hissy fit and pushed to put on the ballot the choice of "yes i don't want gays to get married" or "no i do want gays to get married"

by doing so, it not only confused some voters, but it made the whole thing a completely ludicrous effort.

and now i get to the big issue within.

as i said before some people just cannot understand the concept of SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
we have that law for a reason.

just because a religion says that women and women or men and men aren't a "natural" thing, doesn't make it true.

and i'm speaking for all religions that have made the claim "BUT IT'S IN THE BIBLE..."
blah blah blah.
we've heard your "arguement" and we disagree because of one simple fact.

yes, ladies and gentlemen...

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.

i don't know how else to say it that it'll get through to people.

two people, not able to be married because "the majority" says its wrong doesn't make it right.

what if the bible had said that it was unnatural for a man and a woman to be married?
what then?

what if the jim crow laws were still in effect  and a white couldn't marry a black?

what if christians weren't allowed to marry jews?

what would happen then?

try to justify it.

i dare you.

give me your best answer to my question:

why shouldn't gays and lesbians be able to marry?

bring it, mother fuckers.

i'm waiting.

unfair, aaahhhh!!!!, danya, wrong, lesbians, gays, wtf, elections, marriage, prop h8, prop 8
