A cute Sandha Kavidhai
Anandavikatan is one of my favourite tamil magazines.
Leaving apart the fact that it has quite a lot of pages about the film actresses and actors (in that order), it also devotes certain pages for articles of good literary value (i feel so).
S.Ramakrishnan's 'KadhA VilAsam', SujAthA's "Katradhum Petradhum', 'Kadhai KadhaiyAm KAranamAm' and a few more things are my favourites. I also love reading Vadivelu's more colloquial 'Vedi Vedi velu'.
A beautiful 'Sandha Kavidhai' was quoted in SujAthA's 'Katradhum Petradhum', in this week's issue.
It is as follows:
Paalkudam nokki padai edukkum erumbugalai
Tholkudam arikka vandha theevira vyadhi ellam
Maal padutha arangan manivannan peyar solla
Vaal surutti kollumaame perumale sari thane!!

Reading the first three lines, i thought i was a composition of some Azhwar.
The last line has so much humour associated with it. And i loved this poem because of this line.
I was left surprised when i found that it was written by Crazy Mohan.
