Beyond Good and Evil

Surely you're thinking, "Oh, the video game right?" Right? Wrong.

The good:
I did talk to Kristal again. I planned on stopping her as she went past my locker, but I never saw her. So I went on upstairs and told Matt, "Tell her what I was going to tell her. Only takes a few seconds, surely you can do that." He said he would for sure. What I planned on saying was, "Would I be wasting my time asking for your phone number or anything again?" In English, I asked Mrs. Blanks to take down my field trip permission thing to Mrs. Ellis, and she let me. The bell had yet to actually ring, and on my way down, I passed Kristal coming up the stairs. I didn't stop her though, if I had, I'd have made her late.

Second period is finished and I go to my locker for my A&P book, Matt looks at me and says, "Joe, I've got good news, and I have bad news." I figure that I had nothing to lose anyway and just waited to hear what the bad news could have been. He told me that he did get it done, he did say what I told him to. When he did, she turned red, smiled a lot, and said "Okay" cuteishly. When sixth period ended, I waited after the bell for her (her sixth period is right across the hall). I told I really wanted to do all of that earlier in the morning myself, but I didn't get the chance too. Still smiling, she told me she'd give me her number once she found out what it was. And with that, Fate lost the final battle it pulled out itself in the first place.

I think I'll not really do much on Monday, and possibly Tuesday (the day of the field trip to The College Fair being held at the Convention Center). Wednesday, I have homeroom with her, so I think I'll try to make some sort of conversation with her then and see where it goes. Maybe something on Tuesday, it depends on if she's going to be on the field trip, and what happens if she will be... Guess I'll just have to wait and find out.

And now, the bad:
You know how I always go on about my Principal and Vice Principal? How they're incompetent morons? Yeah, that.

I've had enough.

Here's the thing, the fire extinguisher incident, where a couple of Seniors sprayed one and could have put the school at risk of losing a few million dollars. They truthfully should have been expelled, teachers and students think so. What'd they get? Three demerits. A sexual harassment case a while back. Someone was turned in (by who I'm not sure) because he hugged his friend. What'd he get? Fifteen demerits. A few days back (I just recently found out and had no knowledge of it), it seems a couple of people (a black boy and white girl) were caught having sex in the girl's bathroom. Their punishment? Three demerits. I mean, you get ONE demerit for a tardy. And now, this takes the cake. George Inmon... made the perfect 500 on the US History State Test, never gets in trouble, etc... He wrote on some plant leaves or something, you know, not trying to hurt anyone at all. But supposedly the plant was "sentimental" to someone and he was in trouble. Mr. M. Ray tried to give him eleven demerits, take away being the mascot, give him ISS, detention, and all kinds of other crazy stuff. Now, you tell me: What in the hell is wrong with this picture? If that's enough, the Rays are incompetent for this job as it is. They're on the intercom CONSTANTLY as you already know. They interrupt the teachers, and that means I learn less. George never signed the thing that Mr. M. Ray thought he did, he got Mr. Green's phone number (the superintendant) and I think he may even be going up there to see him. I think the final thing was only five demerits, but regardless. I think at the same time, I want to go up there with Matt, Chris, Kyle, Cate, and George and explaining all this to him. I'll also possibly bring up nine weeks tests. The teachers have had it. The students have had it. I'm sorry, I've tolerated for as long as possible. I've had enough.

So despite more of the Death Rays, I had a wonderful day on Friday thanks to Kristal. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Friday went far Beyond Good and Evil.
