Do we understand the form of the United States government (monarch vs. democracry etc.)?

Well, I was gonna post an update here, since there's a few (okay, just one) people who would actually be interested in one.  I never did it though - this was about 3 days ago - but this is something I posted on my Yuwie.  You guys are intelligent so it may be worthy of posting here.

(As an aside I do believe that the federal government should make a law prohibiting the death penalty, under the responsibility of "protection of the People" and under "regulating commerce", which the jail and restrictions on the court/jails falls into).

Because if the rather high possibility that the convicted human is innocent, because of the fact that states can give a death penalty for anyTHING - and do, currently, sometimes give it for the "murder" of a human who deserved to be killed.,

Or better yet offer a choice to the convicted human, and allow them to EASILY and IMMEDIATELY change their mind at any time, at least if changing from death to life. The decision from life to death could take a week to process and be alright... probably.
