Wednesday's English class was the best! JPimp wrote this wonderful, inspiring essay about the injustices of our math teacher and his curriculum. The essay was supposed to be 250 words or so but Jamie wrote like freaking 4 pages, 11-sized font, 1.5 spaced. It was crazy. It had everything that he did to our class- belittling the entire class, favoring one student in particular, yelling at random moments. I loved how she put in snide comments in her essay: "...and if he has a problem with [not being perfect], then he can talk to my Creator." ..dayyyyuuuum... (totally dang yo, she used "Mr. Menopause" to describe him [laughter]).
We need to get that shiznit in the Observer. I know it would cause a lot of controversy, but who doesn't want to make the school newspaper worth reading? Anyway, when Jamie read it outloud in class, oh man, her personal title went from "Imp" to "Orator". Or as Mr. Tart said "or-rawr-tor". (Orartor, Skeletor, Lipitor- fear them all.)
Half of our math class was in that English class, so those who had him stood up and gave her a standing ovation after she read her essay. Then a classmate named Vanda went around and high-fived our math class members. Our adrenaline was a-pumpin' and we felt like starting a riot. Well, at least Britni, Vanda and I did
Despite the very, very few grammatical errors (there were only about three, but she fixed them), I think this paper deserves an A for her effort. If it doesn't, I'm going to go menopausal (ew) because it really did portray the entire class's feelings toward our teacher accurately. He is unfair, rude, and blunt, so it's about time to say something. You can't be intimidated and demeaned by a teacher every week. A teacher is supposed to respect his class, not look down upon everyone and praise only one student that's placed "on a pedestal". As it stands now, there is little to no respect for that man. If he keeps it up, someone will crack.
Seeing that it's all in for a good cause, I'm backing Jamie up on everything about this issue. Damn straight.
