So we have an operational radio station now. Operational in the sense that we can play songs... We still have no monitor for our computer, nor do we know if we're gonna buy a satellite or do it through the computer like we used to... We know we'll be on-air in the Hat Rack, but we have no idea where else. We'd like to get the whole campus on air, but we dunno if we have the budget or wherewithall (there is only three of us in the club, Harrison the Pres, Franco the VP and myself the Secretary). Hopefully we'll be on the air soon. I'm eager to get on and do my thing, we just don't know how long it'll take. That and Dr. Branton, the GHM (Green Hat Media) advisor has been flaking out on us lately, taking away a lot of our equipment, tying our hands with technical issues and even denying us the server that was built by CS students for us! And the new station is ghetto as hell, but I love it anyway. It's the former storage closet for CSA (they got a new one in Hollis Center), but it looks awesome. Has a huge glass window that looks into NightLites (the club above the bookstore). We painted the inside green, filled it with our equipment and blacklights (oh yeah ;) ). We need a couch and whatnot, and of course, the ability to go live on air, but at least the equipment works and we can play music, which is half way there. Good times.
