People With Chairs Up Their Noses

Universe after Universe layering out into the lives of so many others that just can’t seem to get a grip on the possibility of transcendence and enlightenment. If only they’d forget about the external appearances and shrug off the differences.

That’s a cause of strife. That’s a cause that makes me shiver. Hope that tremor passes along.

I want to see realization; self-awareness. Is declaration one way of being on the right track?

It struck me hard in a letter to Prague that the lives being experienced in Prague are, in retrospect, no different from the country capital city of Ottawa. When I put it this way, I see that there is no difference between these two places no more than there are differences between all places on the Earth. When broken down, each and every place resembles the same things that every other location does. But if these items could be so strongly (or weakly, if you prefer) related and yet still be seen as different from one another by the ‘common eye,’ whose to say that all things in the Universe, let alone the Earth, are all connected by being, fundamentally, similarly on every basic level?

Your neighbors, your politicians, your teacher and students; you still have the heart to see them all as human beings, don’t you? That is how all of you are fundamentally connected. It’s not only the simple statements that count. If you are a believer of the sciences, then we’re all apes, right? Be you a religious soldier, then we’re all God’s children. You can see it, or at least, I’m hoping you can. The walls that make up our differences are broken down and we as society barely realize it so often. So, in saying this, forget that you and I may have some problems between us, let go of the fact that there are ‘insurgents’ overseas, and that there is impending danger (if you care to think so). Because we’re all just humans and could be loving each other in that sense; that we are no different from one another, with warm waves of equality passing over.

God, how I love you. Yes, you.

And if your relatives, the hobo down the street and the milkman are in fact no different from you, whose to say that objects aren’t fundamentally drawn and connected with one another on basic levels? When you take life and its contents, it can all be broken down into layer after layer, and it amounts to such a fantastic number of possibilities and chances that it overwhelms (that or you can just take simple existence which is just as nice). But these layers entangle with one another in a system that symbolizes complete and utter unification. Beauty. Splendor.

Choose to take this all in, choose to ignore it all. I think it’s there either way. Just remember…

The flower in your backyard is no different from an entire Universe.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: Wouldn’t forgetting about differences solve a lot of problems?
