It's been over a year since I posted on here, but I'll just pick up where I left off...
Audition season is going well this fall. I've auditioned for Santa Fe, Glimmerglass and Merola. This Thursday I audition for Wolf Trap and Saturday is Houston Grand Opera.
In December I have Seattle and Pittsburgh Opera auditions but I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford to fly out to NYC to audition because money is tight. Everything will come together and I've finally stopped worrying about it... to a degree... The little capricorn in me that wants to plan EVERY aspect of her life is being driven crazy... but I'm trying to silence her... or at least keep her outbursts down to a dull roar.
Spending this summer with Chautauqua Opera was the greatest thing for me. I met a lot of great colleagues/new friends who I'll know for the rest of my life and I learned things I didn't even know I needed to learn. On top of the fact that I know it was the first step towards the "A" house opera companies noticing me.
This weekend Chicago Opera Theater has invited the movement specialist Chuck Hudson to work with the young artists so I'm excited about that. I love learning new things about my body, acting, and my singing. You never stop learning.
