He was a dream. ;) He LOVED what I did with his piece when I performed it in the masterclass and said I was an "amazing performer...and an amazing singer!" He told me a slightly different angle I could take with the interpretation and then he said, "but that's just a suggestion." And I was like, You're the composer! Also sprach Zarathustra! Everyone seemed to enjoy the class. And for the first time since I can remember, I wasn't ridiculously nervous for masterclass. Maybe I'm getting over my phobia of masterclasses...or maybe it was just him. It was great to get to work with a living composer so you know EXACTLY what he wants...and more of an honor since I think he's a modern Mozart. I told him that one day I hope to have a commission for him to write some songs for me. He said he would be honored. ;)sigh! I got him to autograph everything I own and everything Summer owns that he composed to which he did graciously. He signed it "with love..." teehee. I think I piddled on myself a little bit.
