Well Hurricne Wilma has come and past... the hurricane woke me up at around 7:15... i went out my door to see if anyone else was up and i saw my RA. After he went to the bathroom we just hung around and talked. about a half hr before my RA said he almost was 100% positive there were tornados going on around the campus... which would be worse... The winds at that time were around 115 and gusts were reported up to 127 MPR... wind speeds were probably faster but we never heard any different... also when i was up power was out... so the rooms were pitch black and there was only one light on in each corner... and the bathroom lights were completely off.... so that made things really tough... also Matt said he had seen transformers blowing up in the distance... which is really awesome... when i looked out my window i saw palm trees swaying back and forth.... the lake had flooded easly 8 feet higher... and waves about 3 feet tall... after the storm had passed we were without power till about 7 or 8 at night... not bad considering most of the state is still w.o power... we still have no true internet connection or cable... i am doing this from our wireless connection... also at night we were only given 1 more MRE and a bottle of water.... as of now classes are canceled for the rest of the week to repair the university... and we will be w.o cable for at least a week... that is all for now but it was certainly the worst hurricane miami has seen since andrew they say...
