All the media coverage is making me angry. As many of you know I have recently taken a job at the Space Center, and well it is a strange time out there right now. We are seeing the light at the end of the the tunnel of the the Space Shuttle program, and looking forward to the next program that is going to put men back on the moon. All the coverage of Apollo 11 is astounding I'm in awe of what people did back then, with such archaic technology and rudimentary information processing. Now we are supposed to be back there by 2020, we could do more in less time in the 60's. Now I know that back then it was the cold war and we were just racing the Soviets and had a pretty much limitless budget. It's something I'm so proud of though, not just being for America but for humanity itself. We are becoming Aliens in our own solar system. The thing that angers me about this is pretty much 50 years after we first put man on the moon is the next program going to go there again. Think about where our civilization could be if we never left the moon, I can imagine that we would already be on Mars. Well heres to the next couple of years and hopefully we will get some good use out of the technology that will be developed.
