Ok, first of all, I like to think I have ok taste in games. I don't think there has been a time I've been like, "Hey, you should check this game out, it's awesome." and it's totally blown.
That said,
PLAY THIS GAME. It does not require a huge processor and a fancy graphics card. Do not read anything about it. Just play it. Trust me. It's good. It will take about an hour. It's great. Best game I've played all year (c wat i did thar?)
Ok.
So awhile since a picture post, so here is some from my recent trip to Goa. It was only after I came back that I realized this is where Goa Trace came from. Huh.
Bran and I stayed at this place called the
Wildernest Resort. We stayed there 3 nights and we had out own "valley view" cabin which was incredible. No TV, no internet, but you had electricity and running hot water and a shower and things. Seperate cabins ensured privacy and the only noises came from the abundant wildlife. I swear they trained monkeys and birds to wake us up with the sun sometimes. Also, bugs.
Pictures follow. Some are vacation-y. But hey, I was on vacation!
This was coming up the wind-y 2.5 hour drive from the airport into the forest.
Bran posing by the view
Here was the first sunset taken from our porch. What a view...
I learned quickly not to step on the bugs, because more bugs would come and take them away. Also, watch your step :o
Morning porch shot, there were some other cabins from another resort down the road that I zoomed in to show.
Bran locking up our cottage. The screen there pulled up and you could see straight through from the this side all the way into the valley. The whole cabin was very open.
Our cottage was on the right, "Bakul." Never asked what it meant :o
There was a shrine down the path on the way to the kitchen and trails. They decorated every day and left an offering at night as well.
Lots of stuff like this hidden in the scenery that you sort of had to look for.
There was a bird watching perch removed from the foot traffic that was basically some struts and 2x4's laying precariously over them. It was scary to walk on, haha.
Bran and I hiked about half way down some random trail before turning back one day. We knew we hiked down a similar trail later because we crossed Mr. Bison. Wave hi, Mr Bison! (He doesn't talk much nowadays)
This was a monkey I tried to get. He was literally throwing shit off our roof for a couple of minutes before jumping into the tree outside our cabin. I rushed out to try and get a shot, but this was as good as it got :)
I tried to blend a couple of exposures to show the view as well as cabin detail. Harder than it looks :)
We hiked up to a peak to watch the sunset with our guide :D
This is three exposures
I went back to the shrine at night to try my hand...
This one is handheld by candlelight. Just under a second if I remember...
Next I grabbed my flashlight for some improvisation. This reminded me of the indiana jones ride at disneyland
We ended up getting into a (spider filled) raft with an irish couple and cruising over to the falls. The scale is way off, it's freakin' huge. The rocks at the base are as tall as me. I eventually swam over in my jeans just to say I did it. Water was extremely cold, but nothing I can't handle ;) I convinced the irish soccer player to come with me, and he did! Bran also went waist deep and then we dunked together :D
I handed my camera to the other guy and forgot I left it on full manual. So, blurry :)
This was just for fun :D Taken from the porch, focused on the reflection, the view behind me and the detail on the other side of our cabin.
I really dig this one
Same set.
Nothin' like gettin naked in full view of nature :) Seriously, it's the best shower view I've ever seen.
We ended up watching Point Break that night, Brah :)
Bran rock hunting with me for rocks for mom & co
The rest were taken by Bran, but since I'm in hardly in I took, I'm reposting them :) They are sort of random, I think family appreciate these...
Reading Lullaby- good book! Finished Dharma Punx here as well :D
Best burgers ever.
Road outside my house. They're doing road construction here. Also, cows. Yum.
