I am officially instituting a ZERO tolerance policy from now until...well, quite frankly, until I really feel the need to lift it. I'm not taking crap from people, putting up with wishy washy waffling or hedging on anything, and, to be even more frank, I'm not catering to people's hang ups anymore, and I'm going to be a little more pushy and a little more angry with people.
I say this for a myriad of reasons, and I don't want anyone to think that it's one thing that's prompted this, or one person even, but it's several incidents, and several people, and I'm not going to let it slide any more. If you're being shitty, I will call you on it each and every time. If it means kicking people out of my house, that's what it means. If it means getting into arguments, then that's what it means. If it means hanging up on people on the telephone, that's what it means. If it means some of you have to go ahead and get off the Metro and not hang out with me anymore, or in some cases any less, then so be it.
I am not saying I'm going to be a prick and fly off the handle on way too many things, but I think people have for too long mistaken my hospitality, good nature, and forgiveness for weakness. That's going to change immediately. I think people only like you when you're pathetic and say "Please, help me," and while I don't think I've ever done that, I do think people have mistaken me that way. When you say to people, "Forget it, I don't need you," they get enraged. That's really all backwards.
I've got to say that whether you'll call this a silly blog or not, this is absolutely my attitude. If you feel I've treated you unfairly after some future event, you really should've taken this account. Zero means zero. I shouldn't have to take people's shit, I don't have to, and dammit, I'm not going to.
