How do you just get on a plane and go back to school after your brother tried to commit suicide on your birthday?
How do you leave your mom behind after her dad just died 2 1/2 months ago.. and now her son has been put on a 72 hour psychiatric hospital hold because they think he's going to come home and try it again?
How are you supposed to just leave and go back to school, putting a fake smile on for everyone and asking them how break was.. telling them that your birthday was just wonderful so that they won't look at you and know that your family isn't as happy as theirs..
Saying goodbye was hard before.
I just don't think I can do it this time.
They say everything is okay. We will throw you a better birthday party tomorrow. Your brother will be fine. Everything is fine. Sorry this happened on your birthday.
