TANGLED
Guys, I am weeping, literally crying over the fact that Disney has apparently decided they won't do any more princess movies because it's too narrow of a demographic. EXCUSE ME, SIR. (yes, it was a male rep who said this) SOMETIMES GIRLS NEED A PRINCESS MOVIE. SOMETIMES GUYS NEED A PRINCESS MOVIE. IF LITTLE GIRLS ARE TOO NARROW OF A DEMOGRAPHIC, THEN HOW COME LITTLE BOYS AREN'T? OR, WHAT, IS IT OKAY FOR LITTLE GIRLS TO BE INTERESTED IN FRICKIN' CARS 2, BUT NOT FOR LITTLE BOYS TO BE INTERESTED IN TANGLED?
BECAUSE THERE WAS A SMALL GROUP OF TEENAGE BOYS IN THE THEATER TONIGHT NEXT TO ME, AND THEY ~~~LOVED IT.
Okay, seriously though. That was the most pure FUN I've had at a movie in ages! It was adorable and funny, and such Disney magic! I cried a bit (when the king cried!!! and then when the lit all the lanterns. Not when Flynn died, lol, that was too cheesy to laugh at), I laughed a lot, the animals were PERFECT Disney sidekicks, Mandy Moore is magical, and they even stuck to a lot of the original Rapunzel myth! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
