I'm a Disney Freak?

Watched The Sword in the Stone and The Fox and the Hound tonight, because I hadn't in ages. And lo, Fox and the Hound IS Supernatural, in Disney form and obviously with a slightly different plot.

So, we have these two 'brothers,' Copper (Dean) and Tod (Sam), and despite the fact that Tod's mom got killed when he was an infant and that Copper is going to be raised to hunt things like Tod (who doesn't, unfortunately, have psychic abilities, which would just make this all perfect), they are adorable friends and grow up a bit together.

This idyllic life is a bit ruined by Amos (John, sort of), who is raising Copper to be a hunting dog and has all sorts of boring rules for him.

But the boys still get along real well, and even have this lovely moment that if you squint really really hard could be seen as foxhoundcest.  But not really.

But then Tod and Amos are mortal enemies have a falling out, so the boys get separated for quite some time.

Copper grows up driving around hunting with Amos, learning all Amos has to teach him and being a good dog.

Tod goes into the forest and gets his education there (there is even a song about education, no lies), and meets a pretty girl named Vixie (Jess).  Life's pretty good.  Then Copper and the hunting gang get back.

The boys don't really get along so well anymore, clearly.

But then they fight a humongous bear with glowing red eyes (too bad they're not yellow), which is clearly possessed by a demon.

And then Copper, who after everything really still loves his 'brother' very much, protects Tod with his own life, and even though (in a departure from truly matching with SPN) they have to part ways and live their separate lives, we are left knowing that the boys will always be there for each other, always best friends.
