This installment - this fic, really - was so satisfying from start to finish. It's tempting to go right back to the beginning and immediately read it all the way through again. I especially like the distinctions between how Ichigo sees himself and how others see him (Rukia's musings on this front especially are both sad and hilarious), and the deconstruction of the deathly hallows as dubious shinigami experiments on the living (that alone is enough to made this crossover a thing of joy forever), and the situation with Luna's mom broke my heart, omg, no wonder Ichigo gravitates right to her.
Harry is so much more interesting as a protagonist when he's effectively booted out of center stage for driving the plot forward (his rant to Malfoy! <3 <3 <3). It's like his mostly squished personality is able to spread wings and snark again as soon as some of the weight of Destiny is displaced. I really really like Ichigo's appreciation of the various Houses for personality traits not usually given center stage as representative in a good way.
Thank you for sharing this gift of a fic. It will be a pleasure to revisit.

I'm really happy you liked the fic! I do think there's a real disconnect even in canon between the way Ichigo sees himself and the way everyone else sees Ichigo. I really love when you get the outside point of view where people look at Ichigo and think, "Ah ha, a hooligan," and you're like, "Well, yeeesss...but also no, not at all?" Poor Ichigo, he's a mess.
Harry! I feel like Harry would've been much more likable if he hadn't been the POV character. He's not a great POV character, mostly because he's a wildly unobservant person. Which could be totally charming! Except that you depend on him for all your information, and in that sense, he's the worst. Like, alternating trio POV would have been so nice. It also would've been a little Rashomon, but that might've been cool, too. XD
