survival of the fittest

The story is this: I have a BBC Sherlock fic in beta, and after that I will maybe finally finish that Primo fic for KHR that I’ve been tinkering with since the beginning of the Inheritance Arc, no lie. ^_^;

Meanwhile, something short! If I continue to write more and more obscure fic for smaller and smaller fandoms, do you suppose this journal will ( Read more... )

I apologize as this is unrelated to the fic (I only read about 20 chapters of 07 Ghost and thus would be completely lost if I tried.) I enjoy your writing enough I am tempted to pick it back up just so I can read this. Hell, I want to pick up all of the obscure fandoms you write for.

Anyway.

YOU CANNOT HEAR IT BUT I AM SCREAMING WITH JOY.

Haha, no worries, I'm really glad you're excited for the Sherlock fic! Gah, I hope you like it. *crosses fingers* (And your John icon makes me smile every time. John John John. XD)

That show, omg. So awesome, so soul-eating! For one thing, it is hijacking all of my reading time, if not with fic, then with rereading ACD Sherlock. For another thing, my housemate has a girlfriend who does forensics, and if I ask him one more awkward, unexplained question re: dead bodies, he may move away. I am pretty sure at this point that he thinks I'm planning to murder someone.

OH WELL. XD

That show has sucked away my soul and most of my free time. I REGRET NOTHING. It's a fun, fun fandom to be in. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT THREE. (I usually rotate icons out but John's smiling face keeps making me smile, so he stays.)

Hahahaha, that's pretty awesome to have somebody to ask. Hopefully they won't think you're trying to hide any bodies. I've asked my EMT friend a lot of odd questions for the sake of fics. He's taken it pretty well--lucky for me, he knows a bit about fandom.

“I’m sorry,” he says again, raising his hand with a crackle of zaiphon. “I’m not going to kill you.”

I have just enough time to feel bitterly betrayed before everything goes black.

hahahahaha

They have a very special father-son relationship! XD

And I'm glad you're looking forward to Sherlock. I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT. Sherlock thinks too much.

I am looking forward to reading your fic when I actually know the canon! And yay for Sherlock thinking too much, I mean really thinking - you know I've been looking for that. ^_^

Hopefully you'll like it! *wrings hands* XD

(You should catch up on 07-Ghost! Eventually there is actually, you know, PLOT. It may even turn out to be amazing plot. I have hopes!)

You're always in everything I'm interested in, I'm rather amazed. Haha, I've noticed this too. ♥ It works out well for me, because you almost always get to the fandoms before I do. Whenever I start anything new, I go to your memories and look for fic recs because I just ASSUME THEY WILL BE THERE. And most of the time, they are. XD

That was an interesting experience: to read what Hakuren’s father’s view on things would be like. That’s the POV of a man who has spent his whole life plotting and ‘preparing’ his only child to take most advantageous role in the Empire. The thing is he had most probably never understood Hakuren and he still does not. He can only see his son in his own terms, and therefore notices only what is on the surface, not being able to see the core. He still can’t comprehend the true reasons why Hakuren didn’t kill him; he can’t even imagine that it might have been something else than cruelty or cowardice that stopped his son from taking his life. In Hakuren’s father’s schemes there is simply no room for stupid sentiments such as forgiveness, or, well, love. Actually, one can only pity him ( ... )

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

The relationship between Hakuren and his father is really interesting--clearly Hakuren's dad cares about him (or at least about the idea of him), or else he would have just left the kid alone by now, or disinherited him, or whatever. BUT NO. So I think he does love Hakuren in his incredibly inept, amoral way, but, as you say, doesn't understand him at all.

Shuri (I think I’m developing a soft spot for him - unimaginable ^^) I KNOW, RIGHT? I smile when I see his silly little face now, it's WEIRD. XD Surely they can't kill off Shuri. That would be like killing a stunned puppy.

The next thing I finish with probably be about the Black Hawks, but I do plan to write more about the Oaks! They're so strange and interesting, that family. :)

Well, I actually wrote a story when Hakuren's father disinherited him when it become... let's say, inconvenient to the Oak family. Still, I think that even then Hakuren would have forgiven him.

Yeah, right now Shuri is but an adorable amoeba-brain - yet, I would really like to see him doing something... unpredictable :D.

And Black Hawks stories are perfectly fine with me ;).

Happy FMA day! lololol. I like how they picked the most depressing day in canon. XD Then again, is that the only hard date given in the whole series? POSSIBLY.
