"Dear Asuka, no love" - Gainax
So storyboards for Rebuild 2.0 were released a while back and there were two interesting parts that were cut out from the movie.
1. This part was before EVA-03 gets infected by Bardiel and goes berserk. Asuka flies down the entry plug to get impaled by "hell's needles" and her face rips off only to smile right back at her. Ironically enough, Asuka's line before this sequence was "That's right, I was smiling."
2. And this sequence seems to have been at some point between or before EVA-01 going TENGEN TOPPA and Shinji starting Third Impact. It looks as if Giant!Rei is sucking off EVA-01??? I don't even--
And with that said, I am still hoping that Rebuild 3.0 and 4.0 will be shown together. There's been rumors of copyright and marketing issues that have been delaying things.
