0. prologue
Jack stares, his limbs feeling numb, his stomach churning. He can’t believe it. Eight months since Jack had raced Gray through the park, only to look back and find him gone, vanished into thin air, and suddenly Gray is walking out of the woods, his Gray, with the same curly light brown hair and skinny frame and-
“Gray! Gray!”
-Jack’s bare feet pounding across the yard, grass wet and cold in the night-
-Gray is snatched up before his eyes by a faceless suit, and Gray screams, struggles-
-Jack has to get to him-
-give him retcon, he can’t remember this-
“Gray!”
-Gray crying, shrieking Jack’s name-
-his brother, his little brother, he has to get him back, he can’t lose him now, he’s only just gotten him back-
-a dark van-
-sirens-
-a syringe pressed into Gray’s neck-
“Gray! Let me go, let me go, give my brother-Gray!”
-sobbing-
-block letters on the side of the car-
TORCHWOOD
-darkness.
