Can anyone recommend a free anti-virus software app (for my PC)? I have been using AVG free versions for years, but AVG and their software are becoming increasingly annoying. Thanks.
Yeah, I can see that entry about Merlin. Was that what you meant? I've been so busy this last few weeks that I'm sure there's lots of lj I've missed, though I've been trying to keep up with people's personal journals even if I filter all the comms.
You should be able to tell who has access to what locked posts. If you're using a custom group, then everyone on that group can see it, if it's a standard flocked post then everyone you have friended can see it.
Happy New Year to you too :-) I am most likely travelling again this year. I'm going to Vietnam in March to deliver a course at Ho Chi Minh City University, and probably to a conference in Hong Kong in November. I'd also really like to get back to the US in June/July but I've no idea whether I'll have the time/money.
. . .if it's a standard flocked post then everyone you have friended can see it.
Even if they haven't friended me back, correct?
(I think you tried to explain this to me a long time ago. *g*)
Wow! That's some heavy duty traveling--Vietnam, Hong Kong. . .I've been to HK on business years ago and it was a great time. I had time to do some sight seeing.
What is your degree? Masters in Nurse Education? (Not that I have the slightest idea if that's a real degree, but in sounds good. *g*
Do you like blues festivals? We have a super popular one over the July 4th weekend in Portland. (hint, hint, wink, wink) Haven't you always wanted to see the Pacific Northwest?
Yes, even if they haven't friended you back :-) Friending = viewing permission.
As for my degree, I've a BN and I'm doing a Master of Science (Research) which will become a PhD program later this year.
I'm a big fan of blues music (I saw Charlie Parr play tonight actually) and the Pacific Northwest is quite tempting. You never know where I'll end up next. I'm thinking of adding a few days in Cambodia after I finish up in HCMC; I've always wanted to go there.

Happy New Year.
Any plans for travel in 2011?
(I'm confused by LJ and who can see what. Do you see my locked posts? one on Nov 27) Thanks)
