Harry Potter

Last night we went to see Harry Potter and the goblet of fire.

It was a bit disappointing compared with the earlier films. The opening scenes with the quidditch world cup were truncated almost to incomprehensibility. There were no blast-ended skrewts. And the actor who replaced Richard Harris as Dumbledore was just not up to it. There's not much one can do when an actor dies, and it seems that the priority was to find a look-alike rather than someone who could act.

As the size of the books has grown they become more difficult to film without leaving large chunks out.
