Just finished attending the annual congress of the
Southern African Missiological Society. The theme was prophecy, and there was one rather interesting Bible study on the subject.
As is usual with such things, the best thing was not the formal procedings, but making or reestablishing contact with interesting people.
One of them was Jonathan Bonk, a Canadian Mennonite working in the USA, and director of the
Dictionary of African Christian Biography project. One of the things they are looking for is people who can contribute biographies of African saints of the first four centuries.
Another was Christof Sauer, who is interested in reviving another database project I was working on years ago, and got dropped.
