The thing with writing fic all the bloody time is that you end up being wiped out pretty quickly, and you read very little fic by others. Thus, the first thing I'm thankful to you for is your summary. It's a skill to know what to select to grab your reader's attention, and you obviously have it.:)
This is a wonderful piece of fiction. One of the most treasured compliments I've ever gotten on my p0rn was that it was 'elegant'. Let me offer it to you. It's devilishly tricky to write graphic p0rn that manages to be well, HOT, while at the same time it's not repetitive, clumsy, inacurate, medical or just plain dull-but you've done it!
One thing that sets this piece apart is the actual rhythm of love-making you've managed to reflect with your language. It's quite amazing! The language moves with the rhythm of their love-making and changes accordingly until at the end I'm sure all your test subjects readers, myself including, must have exhibited the physical symptoms of the process: tongues stuck to the palette, elevated heart-rate, you know the sort of thing.:) I'm smiling but it's a serious business how masterfully you've succeeded to do that.
Finally, a bit of personal imput. I adore this particular dynamic between Sherlock and John. This IS my head!canon for them. To read someone else articulate that dynamic so well was highly satisfying, indeed! Thank you!:)
Oh wow, that's one of the most beautiful comments I've ever got, thank you so much!!
Your words mean a lot, especially when your "The Long Game" and "The Senses Prompts" are some of my favourite fics ever. I've always loved the sensorial, vivid, mighty world you are able to create. You are amazingly talented and I adore your writing, so your review is a great encouragement!
Thank you, you're too kind! And aw, you like my 'Senses Prompts'! It's lovely to hear. It's been ages since I wrote them, and I've done so much more 'popular' stuff since then that they'd almost paled out of existence. But I do rate them quite highly on my own list. Thank you again!:)
I'm more than glad to be encouraging--I think you have a real, natural talent for pacing and word-for-word choices; something others spend years to develop! (And I believe like me, English isn't your mother tongue so that's ten times more impressive!) It'd be lovely to read more from you! I'll keep my eyes open.:)
