just because we use cheats doesn't mean we're not smart...

considering that i havent updated in a while, i thought i'd say everything i've been wanting to say that hasn't been important enough for it's own post. if it's too long for you to read, then skip on to your next friend.

i started my new job this week. it's hectic and there's a lot to take in, but people have been very helpful. there's an older lady who's been training me not only in the recipes, but also in spanish. she speaks about 10 english words and yet somehow we're able to work together. she's been telling me to make myself some food all week. typical mexican old lady.

so today i finally did. i made my myself a panini vegi and took a few bites. delicious. then it got busy and before i knew it it was time to go. she wrapped the sandwich in foil for me and i left. just as i walked out, an old homeless man walked up to me asking for food. i told him that all i had was the vegetarian sandwich. "food is food," he replied. as much as i didnt want to part with it, i knew he would enjoy it more.

beth and i are celebrating our 2 year anniversary next saturday. we've already exchanged our gifts because we couldnt wait to. she got me an mbira. i've been wanting one ever since i heard richard crandell's "mbira magic". it's like a music box that you play with your thumbs! you can play just about anything on it and it will sounds beautiful. and it will be the secret weapon behind fireland's LP1.

speaking of fireland. we've been so lazy when it comes to writting new songs. we already have pieces of songs that we need to form into actual songs. it just seems like we can't get ourselvse to practice. but soon. i've been anxious to write new songs. after working on solaris, it should be a breeze. our goal is to write 12 songs and pick the 10 best for LP1 to be released sometime in the year 2046.

i got my first negative feedback on ebay after 6 or 7 years and it really pissed me off. i bid and won a classic edition gameboy advance sp from a guy and he never claimed my paypal. it sat unclaimed in his account for a month even after i messaged him 4 or 5 times. eventually i got tired of waiting so i canceled the payment and left neutral feedback. "i won the auction and never heard from them again. a complete waste of time." in return, he left negative feedback for me. "whatever do not deal with this person." there goes my perfect score. i wish i could spit in this guy's face.

i ended up winning another auction for a GBA SP classic. i also got a flash card for it so that i can download and play gameboy and nintendo ROMs. i've already downloaded a huge library including nanoloop 1.3. i plan on learning how to use it and including it on the full length. so you have african thumb piano and 8 bit blips to look forward to at the LP1 release show.

that's all i feel like typing for now. the end.
