End of the line

That is it, Mother. I am staying at Dad's for the summer. You will rant, and rave, but that is it. I promised myself that, and guess what? I'm keeping my promise to myself. I had the consideration to tell you I would be two and a half hours late coming home tomorrow, but we don't don't have anything planned anyways that I'm going to miss. And what do you? You blow up at me, and tell me to go to hell. Guess what? I'm not. I'm going to Dad's. You had no reason to do that, and you know that. Therefore, I don't see why I should have to put up with your shit.

I am currently at a Ramada Inn about five hours away from my Mom's apartment. It's been pretty fun; they have some awesome pools over here, and really good food. Oh, and I'm out of state right now. I'm currently in South Dakota, right near the border.

I went to Amanda's party last night. Not many people were there (there were five of us) but we had fun. We made a gingerbread house, a gingerbread train, and trees made of ice cream cones. Amanda's boyfriend's tree was more of a cell phone tower than an actual tree. After that, we played a few games of pool in the basement, then chowed down on popcorn and the gingerbread train while watching Elf. It was late, I was tired, and I had an hour left to drive so I went home.

It was the longest I've ever driven alone, but it was okay. There was an instance on my way to the party where I failed to see the lanes merged and I ended up driving on the striped no-driving section. Then I missed a turn and ended up taking the slightly longer way there. On the way back I took the way I meant to take the first time, and I made it fine until I was about ten minutes away from home. That's when the deer decided to prance across the road and I slammed on my brakes, sending my purse, a piece of paper, and a Christmas present I'd received to the floor. It was an experience, but the deer and the van lived to see another day.

family, x-mas
