Supernatural 3x06 'Red Sky at Morning'

In which we have witty repartee aplenty.

Oh Bela, I do believe I'm beginning to like you. Your dodgy accent notwithstanding, you really do get some good lines.

Sam: "How do you sleep at night?"
Bela: "On silk sheets, rolling naked in money."

Bela: "Look at you, searching for a witty rejoinder."
Dean: "Screw you."
Bela: "Very Oscar Wilde."

The monster of the week was a bit ordinary. We've seen death by water before ('Dead in the Water') and victims with a guilty secret ('Bloody Mary'). I knew that Bela would see the ship and have a change of heart, and the backup solution - summoning the captain - felt like a bit of handwavium you shouldn't examine too closely.

Other instances of dodginess:

* Female victim one: Drowns naked in shower. Male victim one: Drowns fully clothed in bathtub. Male victim two: Drowns fully clothed in car. Can you spot the difference?

* Further on the guy who drowned in the car - have Sam and Dean both forgotten how to resuscitate someone? They didn't even try.

Still, it was an episode where you had Dean freaking out over the car being towed, Bela and the boys being rival fake investigators, Bela calling them on their motives of vengeance and obsession, Dean in a tuxedo, and all of them going undercover at a fancy party. I can forgive a lot if an episode is fun.
