Dear Trick or Treat Writer,
Thank you so much for offering to write a story for me! I love the characters I've nominated, and I'm keen to see what you come up with!
I've requested fanfic for the below canons.
I've provided some prompts in case you're looking for inspiration, but I'd also love to see whatever other ideas capture your imagination. I'm open to tricks or treats.
LIKES FOR THIS EXCHANGE: creepypasta, angst, whump, heroism, adventure, mystery, hijinks, banter, fluff, slice of life.
DISLIKES FOR THIS EXCHANGE: noncon, gruesome deaths, bleak endings (though ambiguous or bittersweet are fine).
RATING: I am open to gen or ships for these characters. For the latter, I'm fine with explicit sex (unless specified), but it's usually not the most important part of the story for me.
STYLE: I'm fine with first, second, or third person. I'm fine with past or present tense. I'm fine with stories of any length, including stories that start in media res.
POV: I'm open to stories from the point of view of a different character from the ones nominated, especially if they provide an interesting perspective on the nominated characters.
CROSSOVERS: I would prefer no crossovers with other canons.
AUS: I like seeing the characters in their own settings, so I would prefer no alternate universes like high school, coffee shop, or omegaverse. However, I like alternate universes where something happened differently in canon.

Ben Pollard
- I love that Ben is cranky and ambitious and claims not to care about others, but when it comes to the crunch, he sticks around to help his friends.
- How did he become partners with Bird? What was their first meeting like? What convinced each of them to take that gamble? I love how in the end, Shakespeare did help Ben understand Bird better, and his blue-skyer thinking.
- Trading favours with his network of contacts to acquire something, whether vital equipment or small luxuries.
- Rec time with the Hellburner crew! Board games, old movies, ghost stories, truth or dare, etc.
- Relationships: I'm fine with gen or ships. If you would like to include shipping, I ship Ben with the other members of the Hellburner crew - Dekker, Meg, and Sal - in any combination, or as an OT4.
Fletcher Neihart
- I love Fletcher's coming of age journey, finding his place within the crew, and bringing his stationer knowledge, planetary experience, and delinquent past as resources to the ship. I love the slowly growing bonds of trust and love between him and his cousins.
- Returning to Pell. Finding you can't go home again. Showing his newfound family around the station or the planet.
- Protective!Fletcher. Looking after the juniors. Risking his life for the ship. Recovering after whump.
- Learning more about his namesake, the original Fletcher who changed history.
- Relationships: I'm fine with gen or ships. If you would like to include shipping, I'm fine to see Fletcher with an original male character or an original female character, but I prefer not to ship him with his relatives.

Request 2: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny (Llewella) - fanfic
There are so many fascinating mysteries in the Amber universe, and one of them is Llewella. She is still very much an enigma to me. At the end of the first series, Corwin says, "Llewella, you possess reserves of character the recent situation did not call upon you to exercise. For this, I am grateful. It is sometimes pleasant to emerge from a conflict untested."
Ideas:
* What kind of situation would test Llewella? What would she defend or protect? What would put her into conflict with someone else?
* What if something happened differently in canon, and Llewella chose to step up or was forced to get involved?
* What are her relationships like? She is linked to some very notable people: she is the daughter of the former queen Moins, the sister of the current queen Moire, the aunt of Morganthe, the great-aunt of Martin, and probably at least an acquaintance of Vialle.
* What is it like to live in both Rebma and Amber? Was there culture shock moving between them? Rebma is the mirror of Amber, but does that mean a copy or a reversal?
* How does she spend her time? Is there a cause she is passionate about? Are there any hobbies she is attempting to master? Who does she like to hang out with? Who does she try to avoid?
Relationships: I'm fine with gen or ships. I don't have any particular shipping preferences for Llewella, so if you want to include it, feel free to write whoever you want.
Note: I like both the First Chronicles and the Second Chronicles. I prefer the main focus to be interactions with canon characters, rather than with original characters or historical figures. My favourite of the books is probably Sign of the Unicorn, for all the familial scheming and snark.

Request 3: Penguins RPF (Happy Feet, Tango) - fanfic
Happy Feet
- This is the emperor penguin who was discovered on Peka Peka Beach, New Zealand, in 2011. He was nicknamed after the animated movie. Since this is not the name he grew up with, if you want to refer to him with a different name or description, that's fine.
- How did he end up on a beach thousands of kilometres from home? Was he exploring or did he get lost?
- What did he make of this strange new world covered with sand instead of ice? Was his rescue by humans like an alien abduction experience? Did he encounter other animals while recovering from surgery at the zoo?
- What happened after he was released back into the wild? Did he return home with lots of stories for the other penguins? Did he go on further adventures to other exotic locations?

- This is the chinstrap penguin who was famously hatched and raised by Roy and Silo. She inspired a picture book called And Tango Makes Three.
- What was it like growing up with two dads? Was it any different from other penguin families? Did her fame among humans affect her life at the zoo?
- When Tango grew up, she paired with another female penguin called Tanuzi. How did they meet and what was their courtship like? How did Tango feel about relationships since her parents broke up?
- What kind of culture and community exists between the penguins at the zoo? Did Tango and her parents have an impact on the lives of other penguins who feel attraction to the same sex?

I love all these characters for their loyalty, bravery, sacrifice, and intense UST. I wish we got to see more of their lives in between the crises they face. I'm happy to read about any, some, or all of them.
Ideas:
* Derelict ships and abandoned outposts! Of course someone has to investigate.
* Shore leave! Possibly together with someone else, who has very different ideas about what they should do on shore leave. Or what games might they play during downtime aboard ship? Something fiercely competitive? Strip poker? Truth or dare?
* Do they ever tell stories about ghost ships that wander through space, or lost colonies that vanished off the map, or sightings of alien artefacts?
Relationships: I'm fine with gen or ships. If you would like to include shipping, I ship all four of these characters in any combination.
