I seem to have an idiosyncratic bit of badness in my yoga posture - something to work on that might also be good for the troublesome shoulder. Our instructor's been poking and telling me to twist differently in Downward Facing Dog for a while, and she's upped her efforts to get me lined up better. So if you see me sitting around with my back pressed into stuff, there's a prefectly reasonable explanation.
Had a nice, if exhausting (is that becoming a trend?) weekend: training new Frontier-ers (23 of them!) on Saturday, followed by a walk and supper with
rottenfruit,
bee_york's eclectic
party, which was lots of fun.
Sunday was a lazy morning and an afternoon of walking, trying to get assignments done, being a mediocre host to a studying
moonlightjoy, answering panicked-prof-printing support requests, not doing laundry (looks like that has to wait 'til Wednesday now... why can't laundromats be open later?) and crashing out at the end of the day.
Woke up this morning and felt sick coming on, so sacrificed my first class of the year on the altar of not getting sicker and slept in. I think it worked, I hope I don't spend too long sniffly with a sore throat. Managed to drop my travel mug in the coffee shop this morning, it now has no handle. Arg. Still does the job, though. Got some work and planning done, did some yoga (above) and some Frontier office stuff, then found out that
big_red_dave was trying to phone me from Australia. Caught him during his morning tea and talked a little, but I'll have to pick a better time to really pick his brain and find out about evangelical mission-field postmodernism and his faraway perspective on events back here.
