Got married, bought a house, got a driver's license, went to Peterborough, went on tour
2. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Not applicable, and nope.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, not really close.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.
5. What countries did you visit?
I stayed domestic. Four years running of not visiting the US. Maybe next year under the new, less insane administration...
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A promotion.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 31st: wedding day!
July 11th: taking possession of the house.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting married.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Letting an error slip by that resulted in the swift yanking of some released data.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major.
11. What was the best thing someone bought you?
I can't really point to any bought stuff.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Elizabeth and my parents.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Stephen Harper and both sides of the current transit strike.
14. Where did most of your money go?
House, heat, taxes!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting married.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?

a) happier or sadder? About the same.
b) thinner or fatter? About the same.
c) richer or poorer? Richer. Fortunately I didn't have too much in mutual funds.

Cycling.

Dithering.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Eve in Ottawa-Gatineau and Day in Ormstown, both with family and lots of food.

Stayed in love!

Zero.

The Office (US).
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

I read a few and liked a few... maybe Lullabies for Little Criminals?

Emily Loizeau.

Married, a house, a driver's license.

A promotion (almost, but next try is in January).

I didn't watch any recent films this year.

I went out to Indyish's second birthday. I was 28.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Immeasurably? I don't know.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Understated; every day is casual Friday.
33. What kept you sane?
Love and coffee.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None in particular.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Harper's making every vote a confidence vote, and the Libs' spineless response to that tactic.
36. Who do you miss?
One guy in Australia and a couple of cool cats in B.C., even though I'm terrible at keeping up.

Move with traffic; don't just watch the lights.
