Can anyone tell me what those things are called where you cross sticks and wind yarn around them to make a pattern - diamond shape, but colours are usually used to make it look like an eye.
It's a simple craft (at least I hope it is). I volunteered at a festival at my local community environmental village a couple of weekends ago and I saw kids with them and want to make one to put above my door inside my bedroom. Anyone? I can't find it by googling - I need to find a guide to making them because yes I am that backwards at stuff like this.
I tried to start crochet but I couldn't do it. (The book pictures not having a different colour for different end of the string didn't help though).
