I'm sorry to burst their bubbles, but we already pay another group of people to decide the merits of such things... they're called "judges". So, no, we don't need a lot of "activist legislators", adjudicating from the floor.

Context wants equal rights for chicks and junk.

Well, I can't take credit for it. I stole it from the community.

Meanwhile, I call myself a "hairy militant feminazi".
...Mostly so I can say it before it's hurled at me as an insult.

I much prefer the term "vagenda" to refer to the really radical feminist contingent, myself. It just sounds better.

But this also a post for icon AND quote love. Love love.

As much as I like the term I should point out in latiny style that "agenda" comes from ago/agere which means "to do". "agenda" is the future passive pluperfect tense so it comes out meaning something like "things which must be done".

So, "things which must be done" and "vagina"... Just keep the possible euphemistic use in mind!

(PS: "vagina" is latin for "scabbard" so yeah)

(PPS/PSS: also my latin dictionary has "spend (time w/cum)" in the definition of agenda. I have no further comment.)

(PPPS/PSSS/PPSS: Why are so many words in this comment quoted? it's madness.)

I think you might enjoy yourself in shangy_feminism; even if not, you might find something of value in the "Yes, You Are" essay linked in our userinfo, because that essay is pretty kick-ass and addresses in some respects the concern you express here.

And thanks for committing to the cause of explicating the ickiness of the term "feminazi", one of my most hated words evar; you might add to your arsenal for future discussions that the damn thing was coined by Rush Limbaugh. I'm not adding dittohead neologisms to my vocabulary, ew.
