Happily, Stoke City is on track for promotion to the Premier League.

...where the likes of Arsenal and United will proceed to stomp their arses into the pitch. But hey, promotion!

Arsenal don't stomp. Man U might, but Arsenal don't stomp. We're classy about kicking peoples arses. Most of the time...

Cantona and Keane have left, so I'd doubt we'd stamp. Showboat, yes. Stamping, not so much. ;)

That's true. From recent evidence we are more likely to stomp. I still maintain we're not mean though, we just get frustrated. Ah well.

Apart from Gallas, I couldn't really say any Arsenal player is intentionally mean, either. I saw a lot of frustration last match and couldn't really blame them, tbh. Some of our fans are trying to make something of what Gilberto said after the match about Nani going to get hurt, but I didn't see anything malicious about that, all I saw was him trying to diffuse the situation on and off pitch.

I think we were just really frustrated because we played like... well losers. Gallas has always worried me because he does seem to have a temper. Adebayor occasionally has flare ups as well but he behaved on Saturday, so that was good.

Here's hoping we both win tonight?!

Indeed. An all-English final would be hysterical. :D

I was hoping for an all English final last year, alas it was not to be.

And Alas too that we both only managed to draw tonight. *pouts*

Yeah, I heard it just wasn't your night. Our performance, I feel, was down more to player selection. Or a poor one, thereof. >.<# I love Giggs and Scholes dearly, but they were selected over Nani and Tevez. And with Rooney as a lone striker? NOOOO! That. Never. Works. *sigh*

Here's to hoping we can both do better in the return leg.

I actually missed the match (I was being dramatic at my Amateur Dramatics group) but my Dad watched it for me. Despite the scoreline, we did actually have a few chances, they weren't that good, so a no score draw was probably what we deserved.

Funnily enough no English team has ever beaten AC in their home ground. Lucky for us. You've got a better deal I imagine - getting to play the second leg at home!

Oh, don't I know about not beating AC at home. Not a match I like to remember. That said, I hope we can pull off another Roma against Lyon. Not the seven goals, that seems a bit unlikely, but the coming back to win at OT in the second leg. To be honest, Arsenal went close quite a few times, but you did get the sense it just wasn't going to go in. Any other night, I think you could've scored.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure you can do it. I saw a couple of our attempts and they did look weak, and *sigh* Oh well, I'll actually get to see the next one, so maybe they'll win while I watch!
