psynian has an alternative ending for the Harry Potter series (QWP). And it's far more fun:
Harry manages to drop the horcrux into Mount Doom despite getting his wand bitten in half by Kreacher.
Meanwhile Dumbledore isn't really dead, his mutant healing factor saves him and he comes back as Wolverdumbledore the White, complete with triple wand claws. He does what he does best, and thinks he's killed Voldemort. However, Voldemort comes back from the dead, forcing Wolverdumbledore to power up to Super Saiyan level. Still unable to beat Voldemort he fuses with Optimus Prime and Tony Jaa using the Fusion dance. Using the powers of the Autobot Matrix of leadership and crazy flying kicks they win.
Hermione turns up to be Harry's sister, but they do it anyway.
Luna Lovegood gets naked for no discernible reason.
That's how I would have ended the series. But for some reason my manuscript was rejected.
