So, it's 9 a.m. here on a Sunday. I have 16 MB internet that my neighbors have so kindly let me use. You see, what had happen was, I was in a pissy mood because I had walked around looking at yet another museum and hadn't eaten or had anything to drink for quite while. We had been back at the apartment for about 20 minutes when I saw one of the elusive neighbors going outside. Now, I knew there were dozens of wireless networks around me, but they were all locked, and here I was without all of my wifi-snorting tools! So, I went outside, put on my best German speaking hat and started talking to the guy.
His name's Michael and he's a nurse. His wife is named Paulette and their big black lab is named Cerina; they tell me she is like a child to them. Paulette works in retail and they both want to move to the US. Of course I tried to discourage them of this, because Germany is so much more awesome than the US, but they gave me a rough understanding of what lies under the surface of grand Bayern. Needless to say, after a few beers and some of their strong German ziggaretten I now understand that Germany is much like any other country, it has it's problems and it's good things. All things equal, which I never really like equivocations, Germany is marginally better than the US. Michael seems to think that Obama will help the US a lot; I can only hope we're both right on that one.
So, here is my raised glass of Munchen bier to those of you back at the states; Obama is our candidate, let's charge forth and get him in that big white mans house - change,it is a commin!
But, we should also toast Michael for allowing us to use the wifi, and Laura 'hottie' Larson for having such a great MySpace music playlist, I got to hear some decent music as I wrote this out. More pics are going up today, the Franz Stuck museum was good. I like this guys mind, he's a bit deranged and had vision. Off for now, write me back!
