The point which I believe the original poster is making is that the racist violent music is part of the racist violent culture from which they derived the notion that shooting a random stranger of another race would be a good idea. For some reason, you had no problem grasping this when it came to neo-Nazi music, but don't get the principle as it applies to gangsta rap.

Oh yes I would, in many cases. Or, to be more precise, aspects of some white subcultures. For instance, the pervasive toleration and enabling of jock bullying in high schools (*) had more than a little to do with the Columbine Massacre. And rather obviously, I might consider blaming the neo-Nazi subculture for any school shooting in which the shooters were participants in that subculture.

But then I didn't blame "black culture" for this, I merely pointed out that gangsta rap, and the gangsta subculture in general, were in part to blame for this.

Are you trying to argue that the gangsta subculture is the only real black culture?

Seriously, what you're quoting is probably the reason why they're being charged with first-degree murder, as it destroys any hope of their claiming that the shooting sprang spontaneously from a mutual argument.

This is why I always go back to original sources and local news accounts - just as in the George Zimmerman case (where almost nothing at trial was not known from the beginning) and the Boston Bombers case, where people like me had accessed Dzokhar Tsarnaev's Facebook account and knew the details of the brothers' history hours before the msm were reluctantly naming them and describing those bloodthirsty terrorists as sweet young handsome misunderstood immigrant/American lads.

Their defense will be they were themselves victims of racism and uncontrollably angry because of the Trayvon Martin case.
