powerball

THEY JUST ANNOUNCED THE POWERBALL NUMBERS ON THE RADIO STATION I HAD ON

I didn't write them down because I didn't buy a ticket.

In fact, I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life.

But it made me think because I stopped at a little convenience store near hear to grab a lazy lunch of chicken and fried rice and it was packed with people buying lottery tickets.

I couldn't help but think:

I thought it was so evil to be rich, and yet here were all these people putting down $1 to $5 for an infinitesimally small chance to win $550 million.

Gee ... everyone wants to be rich ... oh some will say they just want to be "comfortable" but there was reality right before my eyes.

It's okay for "me" to be rich but not for "you".

This is where we are. People are such children sometimes ... Selfish, envious, greedy little children. This is society in the new America.

Disintegrating.

And now you will start paying the price.

Like college students.

Oh, didn't you hear? Obama cut Pell Grants by one third just before the election ... he just forgot to mention it when he was speaking to all those college students on his everlasting campaign.

Feeling educated? You've just been schooled. ;-)
