YOU KNOW, MOLLY NORRIS, THE WOMAN WHO HAS RECEIVED DEATH THREATS FOR PROMOTING AN “EVERYONE DRAW MOHAMMED DAY”?
Well, I was stunned to hear Malau Innocent of the Cato Institute respond to a question about Norris from WWL - AM870’s Garland Robinette by implying that the Seattle artist who changed her name and left town in response to a fatwa issued by Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and death threats from extremists was being cowardly in her actions and is “cowering in fear.”

I had to shake my head in disbelief and say to myself, no, I MUST have misheard that.

She went on to say that the “burn the Koran” pastor, Terry Jones, had also received death threats but had not gone into hiding, implying, as I said, that somehow she is feeding extremism.

Norris, by the way, is reportedly under FBI protection.

Robinette, a noted artist in his own right, said that he might have considered doing a drawing or painting had he not had a wife and children to worry about adding he never thought he’s see the day that this would be possible in this county.

Robinette, by the way, is a long time newsman, reporter, and anchor and self-described liberal.

His Think Tank show has been broadcast on WWL- AM870 Radio in New Orleans since 2005.

Malau Innocent is a graduate of Berkeley and the University of Chicago.
