Maybe the Democrats Should Run Lucy for President in 2010
Actually, Lucy wouldn’t settle less than being a Queen, and isn’t one Monarch in American History just too many already?
But think about it!
Is there any bigger a busybody, and more a control freak, anyone less tolerant and more elitist than a liberal?
Liberals think rights don’t come from our Creator, and asserted in our founding documents, but from them.
Liberals want to tell you how much you can earn and how much you can keep.
Liberals are notoriously tight with their own money but LOVE to spend and redistribute yours.
Liberals want to control your speech, your home, your lights, your toilet, your car, your energy sources and what you can use and how much you should pay.
They want to keep track of where your money goes, you emails, what you write on LJ, Facebook and Twitter, and anyone they deem to be critical of them.
They believe terrorists have to be viewed in "context" but the 70 year old-ladies who paint handmade signs supporting The Constitution are racists and Nazis!
Liberals want everyone else to follow their rules but they make themselves exempt from them.
Liberals have to parse their words and hide their true intentions and pretend they’re something they’re not and accuse anyone who doesn’t agree with them of being racists, bigots, unenlightened, knuckle-dragging yahoos who should ne exterminated.
Is there anyone so cranky, angry, dissatisfied, self-absorbed, rude, nasty and judgemental as a liberal malcontent?
Actually, now that I think of it, Lucy at least has the guts to tell you she’s an elitist so perhaps I’ve been too hard on her.
Lucy would be Lucy, and the American people would reject her, even though she might be a perfect Democrat candidate, a bossy, meddling, busybody fussbudget ... but liberal Democrats can't tell you who they really are, and the Democrat power structure would never allow someone like Lucy who is totally honest about who she is.
Why do you think she wears that witch mask for Halloween?
Now we would still love Lucy anyway, because Lucy is Lucy, and we know who she is, and there's always hope for people like Lucy ... but NO WAY would we ever grant her any actual power!
And no way would she ever be a viable candidate ... except maybe in Venezuela, Cuba, and possibly Canada when their economy fully recovers.
You see, the only way a liberal can be elected in the United States is to pretend he or she is NOT a liberal - so for that reason, it's obvious Lucy would actually make a very bad candidate.
