Thanks! Economy has been like a barf-inducing fun-park ride, hasn't it?
With us-types isn't it more a case of, "lapsing back into insanity," than going insane? I've never stopped being certifiably mad, so I'm never quite sure.
Good luck on the PhDing... I'm sorting my options. I'm toying with the idea of teaching elementary, since a) I'd want to be taller than my students, b) I have widely spanned knowledge and could do decently enough teaching most subjects at elementary levels, and c) maybe getting kids brains engaged early will give them a chance before the soul sucking middle-school years start.
Whatever I decide to tackle I'm going to see about schooling in the US. Too many years already spent apart from Brad.
Lapsing back into insanity is probably more accurate, yeah.
Good luck on grad school! I think you'd make an awesome elementary school teacher. Let me know if you want me to look over and personal statements! I teach this stuff for a living now.
Be it the fandom of your LJ icon, Kate?

It's ... going. I was laid off for a few months, doing a temp assignment at an investment firm now. Not sleeping well. Hooray. LOL
How've you been, K?
