The Best Weekend Ever
Yesterday I met jcjoeyfreak, and she's ten times as lovely in person as she is online. She gave me presents, and we found the ocean (eventually) and then watched all of Durham County (which I hadn't seen yet) and Hugh is awesome. Yes.
And just when I think nothing will outdo the awesomeness of yesterday, today becomes the best day ever.
Because today, ladies and gentlemen, I made Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones fake kiss.
There were some really very good Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones impersonators outside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. There were lots of impersonators (including Darth Vadar and a storm trooper, and you can pay them $1 and get your picture taken with them. I noticed them on the way to the cemetary (don't ask), and we're on the way back, about to leave, and I whisper to my friend Alice "I'd pay them $5 to see them make out with each other."
Alice shrieks and says "Do it!"
So, after the group getting their picture taken is done I go up to Jack and say "I'll give you $5 if you make out with each other."
Jack makes a face, and protests (in Jack Sparrow accent) "...but there are children around! Impressionable!"
I glare at him and say (in a very Elizabeth tone of voice), "You're Jack Sparrow. The moral argument isn't really going to work for you."
Jack is silent for a moment and then says--
"...$10."
I grin and ask him if he has change for a $20. He does, and we exchange bills, Jack saying, "$10 is worth traumatizing children", and then Jack mutters to Davy Jones, "...you know this means we're whoring ourselves for cash now."
I about died. Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow fake kiss for my entertainment while the crowd around us (and my friend Alice) snaps pictures.
