So at specialty shop, I came home with:

various german sausages I've been waxing nostalgic for
pickled purple cabbage of the sort I grew up with
salty black liquorice- again childhood in europe
and cloudberry preserves- associated with sweden and family and many visits there

Honestly, I've been enjoying the cabbage and the liquorice the most... which has to be testament to real versus trendy. Most people don't forgo the special cookie and chocolates in favor of salty liquorice and pickled cabbage. :P
