After the...conversation of the other night with Remus, Tonks (pink-haired today) found a copy of Pride and Prejudice in the Mansion library, and has been reading it since. She can be found now in the front room, sprawled upside down on a couch, her head hanging off the side and her legs against the back of the couch, reading it, if anyone would

Here's her husband, then, looking wryly amused. "That looks uncomfortable, to say the least."

[metamorphette]

"You'd be surprised," she says, letting the hand holding the book drop to the side. She grins upside-down at him before swinging her legs over and standing up properly, shaking out her short pink hair. "Hallo, you."

"Giving Austen a try, then?" He sits down next to her and kisses her cheek, smiling. "Well done. The only other person I know who'd even consider reading Austen is Lily. ...Unless there's something Kingsley hasn't told me."

[metamorphette]

"I just wanted to know the context of that bit you said to me," she says dryly. "Make sure it wasn't some kind of backhanded insult, you know. Don't get your hopes up."

[moonmarauder]

He laughs and drapes an arm over her shoulder. "It's not an insult. Didn't I tell you? It's from Mr. Darcy's proposal to Elizabeth."

[metamorphette]

She laughs also. "From what I've read so far, anything this Darcy bloke says to Elizabeth isn't going to be very complimentary!"

"You'll see what happens." There's a grin. "What do you think of it so far?"

She hesitates before answering slowly, "It's a little dull. Just this soap opera stuff, but written in this silly, old-fashioned style."
